Rachmaninoff: All-Night Vigil (Vsenoshchnoe bdenie), op. 37
Conductor: Tamás Bubnó
The Easter concerts of the Saint Ephraim Male Choir promise exquisite spiritual experiences. Choir master Tamás Bubnó invites you to a Maundy Thursday vigil, where in addition to Russian liturgical songs, Rachmaninoff’s 15-movement Vespers will be performed, an opportunity that also serves to commemorate the composer who died 70 years ago. On Easter Monday, at a service celebrated according to the liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, the wonderful choral cycle of the great Russian composer will be sung.
